One home improvement brief we had was to create a stylish porch installation for a homeowner looking to improve the entrance of their property with a new porch which offered both visual appeal and practical benefits. The project combined a premium Solidor composite front door with aluminium frames and glass panes used for the remaining structure, resulting in a modern, secure, and light-filled porch space.

The Solidor front door was chosen for its outstanding strength, thermal performance, and aesthetic versatility. With a solid timber core and high-security locking system, it provided a significant upgrade in both security and insulation compared to the original porch door in place. The homeowner opted for a contemporary design in a bold anthracite grey finish, complemented by decorative glazing to bring in natural light.

To complete the structure, we installed slimline aluminium frames with full-height glazed panes on all sides of the porch. This design maximises daylight and creates a welcoming, open feel without compromising on weather resistance or energy efficiency. The aluminium frames offer durability and low maintenance, with a sleek finish that ties in perfectly with the modern front door.
