Orangery Installation with Aluminium Bifold Doors and Skylight in Badsey
We recently completed an elegant orangery installation at a family home in Badsey, designed to create a bright, versatile space that seamlessly connects indoor and outdoor living areas. The project combined contemporary design with functional performance, featuring two sets of aluminium bifold doors and a central skylight to maximise light and openness.
A five-pane SMART aluminium bifold door was installed along the rear of the orangery, offering expansive views of the garden and the ability to fully open up the space during warmer months. The slim aluminium frames provide a modern aesthetic while maintaining strength and thermal efficiency. This large opening brings a true sense of the outdoors in, perfect for entertaining or family gatherings. It also provides excellent thermal performance, with a U-Value of 1.4 and an A energy rating these doors are perfect at retaining gheat during the cold winter months.
On the side, a two-pane SMART aluminium bifold door was fitted to add flexibility and improve access to the patio area. This smaller opening ensures consistent style across the structure and improves the room’s functionality, providing multiple access points and additional airflow when needed. SMART bifold doors can come in arange of different colours allowing the homeowner to choose the right option for them and their home enabling the design to fit into their overall vision for their home improvement.
Above, we installed a bespoke aluminium skylight to help fill the orangery with natural light throughout the day. The sleek, aluminium frame ensures excellent insulation, while the central positioning creates a stunning architectural feature and great view of the nighttime sky.
The finished orangery is a light-filled, all-season space that has transformed the home’s living experience. It has extended the kitchen diner, allowing a more spacious room to host friends and family all year round.
