Leaf & Bean in Broadway

The Leaf & Bean Café is a popular independent coffee shop located in the Cotswold village of Broadway. We recently upgraded its main entrance with the installation of a bespoke hardwood timber door with the goal of refreshing the café’s kerb appeal while improving the energy efficiency of the building.

Crafted from sustainably sourced hardwood, this bespoke-made door was designed to be consistent with the previous door but provide more modern capabilities. The natural grain and rich finish of the timber provide a welcoming first impression, complementing the traditional Cotswold stone features of the building. A small glazed panel was incorporated into the door design to allow natural light into the entrance area without compromising on thermal performance.

Beyond aesthetics, the hardwood door delivers improved insulation and durability, helping to maintain a consistent indoor temperature, crucial for a busy café environment. A secure locking system was also fitted to help increase the overall safety of the building after closing time.
